Kelli Renee Hausner, a 51-year-old female, passed away on July 11, 2022, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 10, 1970, to Jerry and Mary Hausner, she was known to some of her loved ones as Bunny. She grew up primarily in the Sapulpa school system and graduated from high school in 1989. After working a few different jobs, she found her calling in the healthcare field.
Kelli enjoyed beautiful landscaping, reading, watching movies, dining out, and playing app games, many of which she shared with her longtime boyfriend, John Kasmer.
The circumstances of Kelli's death were tragic. She was found deceased in her home along with her parents. Law enforcement officials were called to the residence on Canyon Road for a welfare check after family members had not heard from them. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of Kelli, her 77-year-old mother Mary Elaine Hausner, and her 80-year-old father, Jerry Hausner. All three had been shot.
The subsequent investigation by the Sapulpa Police Department led them to believe it was a double murder-suicide. It was determined that Jerry Hausner shot and killed both his wife, Mary, and his daughter, Kelli, before turning the gun on himself. Police indicated that they were not searching for any other suspects in connection with the deaths. Neighbors in the quiet area north of downtown Sapulpa expressed their shock and disbelief at the news, stating that nothing like this had ever happened in their neighborhood. The police had no prior record of visiting the Hausner home and had not determined a motive for the tragic event.
