Joel M. Dammann, a 27-year-old Caucasian male, was fatally shot on September 3, 2014, in an incident that began to unfold following a prearranged meeting. The events leading to his death started at a hotel on Layton Avenue in Greenfield, Wisconsin, where Dammann had planned to purchase heroin from 20-year-old Daven Dodson of Milwaukee. Accompanied by another individual, Dammann engaged in the transaction with Dodson.
