In the winter of 2015, on the evening of December 19th, the life of 38-year-old Travis Thomas, a Black / African American male, was cut short by gunfire in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 7:21 p.m. near the intersection of N. 48th and Clarke Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the life-saving efforts of both police and fire personnel at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries.
