On December 10, 2011, Solomon Coleman, age 23, was shot and killed in Chicago. The incident occurred around 12:03 a.m. when Coleman was walking on the sidewalk in the 7300 block of South Evans Avenue. He was approached by an unknown assailant who opened fire, fatally striking him. Coleman was pronounced dead shortly afterward by the authorities.
