Hispanic male Ricardo Alcantar, 18, was shot on the evening of July 5, 2012, in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood, struck in the 4800 block of South Hamlin Avenue.
He was attacked around 5:05 p.m., in broad daylight on a Southwest Side residential stretch that would soon fill with flashing lights and the rush of first responders.

Taken from the scene to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the 18-year-old male was pronounced dead on arrival.
