In the late summer of 1910 in the town of White Plains, Kentucky, a dedicated law enforcement officer, City Marshal W.D. Coursey, would lose his life in a sudden act of violence. At the age of 35, Marshal Coursey had been serving his community for a brief period, a tenure that would be tragically cut short.
