In the quiet town of Winchester, Kentucky, the life of Deputy Sheriff George M. Hart, a 56-year-old male, was tragically cut short on a Sunday evening. On November 24, 1912, while investigating a shooting at a railroad camp located at the corner of Main and Broadway, Deputy Hart was fatally shot by a railroad worker.
