On a summer day in McKee, Kentucky, the community was shaken by the tragic death of Nancy 'Jeannie' Britton Angel. The 48-year-old woman was discovered deceased in a mobile home located about two miles east of Sand Gap on Friday, August 1, 2014. Her daughter made the devastating discovery around noon.
Inside the residence, authorities also found the body of 47-year-old Jeff Wilder.
The initial investigation by the Jackson County Coroner's office led them to believe the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide. Autopsies were scheduled to be performed by the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort to confirm the cause of death for both individuals.
