On a quiet evening in Beattyville, Kentucky, the life of 36-year-old Patricia Gail Creech Lutes came to a violent and sudden end. On November 10, 2014, a neighbor was startled by the sound of a gunshot around 6:30 p.m. Stepping outside, they discovered Patricia lying in the roadway near her mailbox on Highway 2016, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lee County Coroner's office.
