Bai Wei Wang, aged 55, was shot and killed on October 17, 2012, in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of South Haynes Court, as Bai Wei was parking his car. Originally from China, Bai Wei had moved to the United States approximately 25 years prior to his death. He owned a small construction business and was well-regarded within his community.
