In the quiet farming community of Greensburg, Kentucky, a tragic event unfolded on the morning of January 31, 2019, shattering the peace of the small town. On that Thursday, at approximately 9:50 AM, the Green County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the Kentucky State Police at a residence on Bill Jones Road, located about 12 miles southwest of Greensburg.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a grim scene inside the home.
Inside the residence, authorities found three deceased individuals, later identified as 59-year-old James Dwight London, his 59-year-old wife, Carolyn Jean London, and their 40-year-old son, Jasper Dewayne London. All three members of the family had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Green County Coroner pronounced all three deceased at the scene. The bodies were subsequently transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for autopsies.
Kentucky State Police Post 15 initiated an investigation into the deaths. The preliminary investigation led detectives to believe the incident was a murder-suicide. Detective B.J.
