On a tragic afternoon in Oak Grove, Kentucky, the life of O'Shia Young, a 26-year-old Black female, was cut short in an act of violence. The incident unfolded on June 29, 2020, at Gilkey's Mobile Home Park on Eddy Street. It was there that Joshua Hyde, an 18-year-old, opened fire, fatally wounding Young with a gunshot to the chest.
