Curtis Porter, a 51-year-old man, was shot and killed on January 15, 2013, in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood. The shooting took place in the 1300 block of South Christiana Avenue in the morning hours, around 9:30 a.m. Porter was targeted in what was described as a drug-related incident. A passenger emerged from a black SUV and opened fire, striking Porter. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
