Deonta T. Turner, a 23-year-old, was tragically shot and killed on April 2, 2017, in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood. He was found with gunshot wounds to his body, a victim of the ongoing gun violence that has plagued various neighborhoods in the city. Despite the efforts of first responders, Turner was pronounced dead at the scene, adding to the somber tally of homicides in Chicago that year.
