Seth Bartell, a 15-year-old freshman from Cold Spring, Minnesota, tragically died on September 24, 2003, following a school shooting at Rocori High School. The incident also claimed the life of 17-year-old senior Aaron Rollins. The shooter, identified as 15-year-old freshman John Jason McLaughlin, carried out the attack using a. 22-caliber Colt pistol. McLaughlin, who had been described as quiet and withdrawn, reportedly targeted Bartell due to alleged bullying over his acne.
