Derrick Brian Brun, aged 28, tragically lost his life on March 21, 2005, during a shooting at Red Lake High School in Red Lake, Minnesota. Derrick was working as a security guard at the school when the incident occurred. He was unarmed but bravely confronted the shooter, allowing others to escape and ultimately sacrificing his own life in the process.
