On October 8, 2015, Christopher Alvarez, an 18-year-old resident of Shakopee, MN, was tragically killed in a shooting incident at the Valley Haven mobile home park on 1st Avenue East. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Alvarez with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
