On November 10, 2019, Daniel Olvera, a 20-year-old resident of Saint Paul, Minnesota, was found fatally shot in the North End neighborhood of the city. Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 5 p.m. and discovered Olvera inside a vehicle at the intersection of Rice and Wayzata streets. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The incident marked the 29th homicide in Saint Paul for the year.
