In the quiet community of Bonner Springs, Kansas, a sense of unease settled over the residents in the days following November 19, 2014. On that Wednesday, 50-year-old Lana Kay Sloan, a White female, was discovered deceased inside her residence on North 141st Street. The initial call brought police to her home just before 4 p.m., where they found a scene that immediately raised red flags.
