In the afternoon of September 12, 2019, a tragic event unfolded at Godfrey's Indoor Ranges and Tactical Supply in Junction City, Kansas, leading to the death of 26-year-old Audra VonSenden. A female resident of Manhattan, Kansas, VonSenden was discovered at the gun range with what authorities described as an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene around 1:30 p.m. following a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
Upon their arrival, officers found VonSenden, and she was pronounced dead at the location by the Junction City Fire Department. The initial investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death did not indicate any criminal activity, and the incident was consequently treated as an apparent suicide.
In the aftermath of the event, law enforcement officials stated that an autopsy would be conducted to formally confirm the cause of death.
