On November 1, 2013, Saul Salgado, a 23-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 4:05 a.m. when Salgado was driving and stopped at a red light in the 5600 block of West Fullerton Avenue. At that moment, another vehicle pulled up alongside his car, and someone from inside the vehicle opened fire. Salgado sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
