Deontae C. Nichols, age 26, was fatally shot on January 9, 2017, in Chicago. The incident occurred in the city's West Englewood neighborhood. Nichols was on the 6800 block of South Winchester Avenue when he was shot multiple times. Authorities responded to the scene, but Nichols succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack.
