In the quiet town of Fernley, Nevada, a family disturbance on the morning of August 29, 2022, escalated into a tragedy that ended the life of 62-year-old Vincent Eugene Small. The male victim was fatally shot in the 900 block of Mesa Drive, succumbing to his injuries at the scene before medical help could arrive. The incident prompted a swift response from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office after they received a report of the shooting and that the person responsible had fled in a vehicle.
