Jashawn McBride, a two-month-old infant, tragically died on November 5, 2014, in Chicago from severe starvation. Born healthy at 8 pounds, Jashawn weighed only 4 pounds, 13 ounces at the time of his death. His mother, Shawnquail Minnis, was later charged with first-degree murder for allegedly allowing him to starve.
