In the early morning hours of February 21, 1993, a night out with friends turned tragic for 25-year-old Sean Fabian France. A Black male, France had received a call from friends asking for a ride to a nightclub in Glendale, Colorado, known as 'Al's Palace.' They arrived at the club at approximately 1:15 a.m.
As Sean parked his car, before his friends had a chance to even get out of the vehicle, the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire.
A gunman opened fire on the car, a single bullet striking Sean in the head. The sudden violence of the act left no time to react.
Glendale Police and Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene. They found Sean critically injured and rushed him to the nearby University Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to the severe head wound.
The case of Sean Fabian France's death remains an unsolved homicide. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. The Glendale Police Department continues to seek information from the public regarding the events of that fatal night, hoping to bring closure to a case that has remained cold for decades.
