In the early morning hours of March 25, 1994, the life of 37-year-old Scott A. Marcus, a White male, was tragically cut short in what remains an unsolved homicide. Marcus was working the graveyard shift at a 7-11 convenience store located at the intersection of South Holly Street and East Evans Avenue in Denver, Colorado. He was covering the shift for another employee when the fatal encounter occurred.
An unknown assailant entered the convenience store and, in the course of a robbery,
shot Scott Marcus to death. The perpetrator fled the scene and has never been identified, leaving a case that has grown cold over the decades. Despite the efforts of the Denver Police Department, no arrests have ever been made in connection with the murder, and there are no publicly known suspects. The case remains an open investigation, a painful lingering question for his surviving family.
Prior to his untimely death, Scott and his brothers had grown up in Kansas City, Missouri. His family life was shaped by his father's long hours working for an electronics company and his mother's passion for traveling the country to show German Shepherds. The authorities continue to ask for anyone with information regarding the case to come forward in the hope of bringing closure to the family of Scott A. Marcus.
