In the spring of 1995, a young Black man named Jermaine Chandler, at the age of 22, found his life tragically cut short. On the evening of April 16th, the sound of gunshots echoed through a Denver neighborhood. When police responded to the reports near East 28th Avenue and Pontiac Street, they discovered Jermaine in the alley that ran between Pontiac and Poplar Streets. He was suffering from gunshot wounds.
