In the spring of 1999, the life of Malcolm Davis, a 40-year-old Black man, came to a violent end in Lakewood, Colorado. On the evening of April 3rd, inside a residence at 1415 Zephyr Street, a confrontation escalated to the point of gunfire, and Davis was fatally shot twice. The investigation into his death would reveal a complex personal life that authorities believe played a central role in the tragic events of that night.
At the time of his death, Malcolm Davis was reportedly involved in the distribution of cocaine and prostitution. It was through these circles that he met a woman with whom he developed a romantic relationship. This new relationship is believed to have been the catalyst for the deadly encounter. According to law enforcement, an individual known only by the alias 'Miguel' became jealous of Davis's involvement with the woman, who had previously been a prostitute.
This jealousy allegedly culminated in the confrontation at the Zephyr Street house, where 'Miguel' shot Davis. In the aftermath of the shooting, the suspect known as 'Miguel' vanished and has never been formally identified or located by authorities. More than two decades later, the case of Malcolm Davis's murder remains unsolved, with no arrests having been made.
