In the summer of 2003, a violent incident cut short the life of Darryl McGee, a 49-year-old Black male from Denver, Colorado. On the evening of July 19th, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 2600 block of East Bruce Randolph Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered McGee suffering from a gunshot wound.
