On the evening of April 21, 2017, a young man's life was abruptly cut short in Denver, Colorado. Shawntez James Jucar Kinney, a 22-year-old Black / African American male, was found shot to death around 8 p.m. in the 5300 block of West Evans Avenue. The fatal incident occurred outside of a liquor store in the area. When authorities arrived at the scene, he was pronounced dead. The cause of death was later determined to be a gunshot wound.
