Philip Malinowski, 50, male, was shot to death inside a home in southwest Denver on July 29, 2017. Investigators later found him in the basement of a residence in the 3200 block of West Saratoga Avenue with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The discovery followed a startling turn: a man walked into a nearby police station and said he had killed someone, setting the case in motion within minutes.
