Death by Force

On January 5, 2018, a tragic incident occurred outside the New Welcome Inn bar located at 3759 Chestnut Place in the RiNo area of Denver's Five Points neighborhood. Jose Herrera-Cabral, a 35-year-old man, and Guillermo Ornelas, 43, were fatally shot in the parking lot of the bar around 8 p.m.

The victims had been at the bar earlier that evening, where they were playing pool. The shooting resulted in both men being shot multiple times, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
