In the early hours of January 17, 2021, 19-year-old Imanol Del Valle was discovered by Denver Police officers in the driver's seat of a Honda Accord at the intersection of Ellsworth Avenue and Newton Street. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the back of his head, chest, and right arm. Despite medical efforts, Del Valle succumbed to his injuries.
