In the small community of New Castle, Colorado, the events of April 11, 2022, left a family grappling with not only the loss of two loved ones but also with lingering questions about the investigation into their deaths. On that day, 19-year-old Tanner Zancanella, a male identified as Black / African American, was found deceased in his home. His mother, 80-year-old Darlene Brooks, was also found dead at the residence.
