On January 20, 2016, 27-year-old Myisha Monet Garcia was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in a yard located at 4623 Eighth Street NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The discovery was made around 2 a.m. by a man working in the yard. Authorities promptly initiated a homicide investigation into Garcia's death.
