On a summer morning in 2006, the life of 34-year-old Gardy Joseph was tragically cut short. Around 11:29 AM on Wednesday, July 19th, police officers from District 3 responded to a report of a person shot at 14 Woolson Street in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood. Upon their arrival, they discovered Joseph suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Emergency services transported Gardy Joseph to Brigham and Women's Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he succumbed to them later
that day. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner officially ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound. At the time of his death, Joseph was a resident of Mattapan.
Despite the passage of many years, the case of Gardy Joseph's murder remains unresolved.
