In the spring of 2015, the quiet community of Wakefield, Massachusetts, was unsettled by a grim discovery. On the evening of April 28th, a passerby ventured into a wooded area off Sunset Street and happened upon a parked vehicle. Inside, they found the body of 30-year-old Jeffrey Raphael, a Black/African American man from the nearby city of Lynn. The discovery, made around 5:45 p.m., prompted an immediate and intensive investigation by local and state authorities.
