On the evening of September 13, 2019, a violent altercation outside a Fall River, Massachusetts bar tragically ended the life of 39-year-old Eric Voshell, a White/Caucasian male from Oak Bluffs. The incident, which unfolded at JC's Cafe on Bedford Street, was the culmination of a dispute between rival motorcycle clubs. Voshell, a member of the Sidewinders Motorcycle Club, was fatally shot in the head during a brawl with members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. Two other men, a 37-year-old from Fall River and a 23-year-old from Bridgewater, also sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. First responders rushed Voshell to Charlton Memorial Hospital, and he was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning.

The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed to a suspect. Joseph "JoJo" Noe, a 25-year-old from Taunton and a member of the Outlaws, surrendered to the Fall River Police. He was subsequently arraigned on multiple charges, including murder, and was held without bail after pleading not guilty. Court records and police reports indicate that the confrontation began when members of the Outlaws, including Noe, exited the bar and were met by the Sidewinders who had just arrived on their motorcycles. The ensuing fight escalated to gunfire, leading to Voshell's death.

Eric Voshell was a married father and a respected member of his Martha's Vineyard community. He owned a successful air conditioning contracting business and had served as a call firefighter in Oak Bluffs. His death sent shockwaves through the community, where he was remembered as a beloved figure. Hundreds of mourners, including a large contingent of bikers from various clubs, attended his funeral to pay their respects. The tragic event underscored the violent potential of rivalries between motorcycle clubs, leaving a family and a community to grieve the loss of a man they held in high regard.
