On a late spring morning in Boston, the life of 37-year-old Ivanildo Barros, a Black / African American male, was cut short by gunfire. The fatal encounter unfolded around 11:50 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021, in the Dorchester neighborhood. Boston Police officers from District B-3 responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 590 Park Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Barros suffering from gunshot wounds.
