On the evening of June 7, 2021, tragedy struck in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. Fermin A. Baez, a 32-year-old man from Dorchester, was in the vicinity of 1510 Tremont Street when he was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 8:47 PM, shattering the night's calm. Responding officers found Baez suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
