On a Tuesday morning in March 2017, the lives of two men were cut short in the rural community of Beavercreek, Oregon. Thomas Lee Hegar, a 50-year-old White male, and his companion, 40-year-old Dustin Louis Childress, were dropped off near a forested property on South Upper Highland Road.
