In the quiet town of Grants Pass, Oregon, the morning of November 23, 2018, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of Christopher Wayne Lyon, a 42-year-old Caucasian male. The tragic events unfolded at the Harbeck Apartments on Harbeck Road, where Lyon and his friend, 38-year-old Justin Scott Severnak, were fatally shot. Both men, originally from Utah, had relocated with their families to Oregon about eight months prior to the incident.
