On Halloween night, October 31, 2022, in the Strawberry Heights neighborhood of Madras, Oregon, 24-year-old Hispanic/Latino male Edgar Miguel Torres-Aguilera was shot multiple times. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. near the corner of Leisek Way and Maliah Avenue, a street filled with children trick-or-treating.
