In the quiet community of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, concern began to mount for 42-year-old Matthew Loren Knotts in March of 2014. His mother hadn't heard from him since March 7th, and he had been absent from his job for weeks. When inquiries were made, his wife, 23-year-old Nicole Dawn Knotts, initially claimed that he had left the area with a girlfriend. She even went so far as to call his employer, posing as this other woman, to report that Matthew was alright.
