On a tragic autumn day in Mink Shoals, West Virginia, the life of Sandra "Sandy" Kay Nichols, a 68-year-old Caucasian female, was brought to an abrupt and violent end. It was October 6, 2016, when law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence to find a grim scene. Inside, they discovered Sandra Nichols had been fatally shot.
