Kenyatta Davontae Taylor, a 20-year-old from Des Moines, Iowa, died on April 15, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. His death was the result of a shooting incident.

The investigation into Taylor's death led the Des Moines police to identify a suspect. After several weeks of investigation, police arrested 21-year-old Demarco Ontario Robinson on June 4, 2013. Robinson was charged in connection with the shooting death of Kenyatta Taylor.
