In the early hours of a cold Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa, the life of 25-year-old Darryn Boles Brooks, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On March 9, 2019, Brooks was found deceased in the 1000 block of 11th Street, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds.
