On May 18, 2019, Matrell Michael Eugene Johnson, an 18-year-old resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, lost his life to gun violence in a tragic incident that also claimed the life of another teenager, Royal Abram, also 18 years old. The shooting occurred outside the Iowa Smoke Shop in Cedar Rapids.

The investigation into the shooting led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Andre Richardson, who was implicated in the deaths of the two teens. Richardson accepted a plea agreement in J ...Read More
