In the quiet early morning hours of August 20, 2017, the life of Miraheta Skender, a 49-year-old Caucasian female, was brought to a tragic end in her West Valley City, Utah home. At approximately 4:45 a.m., police received a distressing call from the adult daughter of Miraheta and her husband, Samir Skender, 51. The daughter, who lived with her parents, reported hearing gunshots within their residence located at 3171 S. Ivy Park Drive.
