On August 20, 2017, Miraheta Skender, a 49-year-old woman, and her husband, Samir Skender, 51, were found dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide incident in West Valley City, Utah.

The bodies of Miraheta and Samir Skender were discovered at their residence, and both were pronounced dead at the scene due to apparent gunshot wounds.
