Robert Fumiatti, a 35-year-old White/Caucasian male, was a dedicated New Haven police officer whose life was irrevocably altered on the evening of June 13, 2002. While on a drug raid with the Street Interdiction Unit in the Hill neighborhood, Fumiatti and his fellow officers exited their van to investigate what appeared to be a drug transaction.
